# Web: Hard Refresh

### For Chrome

**Chrome (Windows)**

To hard refresh on Google Chrome on Windows, there are two ways you can do it:

1. Hold down Ctrl and click the Reload button.
2. Hold down Ctrl, Shift, and press R.
3. Hold down Ctrl and press F5.
4. Clear the cookies as well by following the below steps:
   * Go to the site on the webpage
   * On the URL bar above, click the **Site Info** icon — it is located to the left of the website address
   * Click **Site Settings**
   * Chrome opens a settings page for that site, confirm that you are on the app.animaldietformulator.com site
   * On the **Usage** section, click '**Delete data'** to remove all cookies for the site

**Chrome (Mac)**

To do a hard refresh on Google Chrome on Mac, there are two ways that you can do it:

1. Hold down Shift and click the Reload button.
2. Hold down Command, Shift, and click the ‘R’ key.
3. Clear the cookies as well by following the below steps:
   * Go to the site on the webpage
   * On the URL bar above, click the **Site Info** icon — it is located to the left of the website address
   * Click **Site Settings**
   * Chrome opens a settings page for that site, confirm that you are on the app.animaldietformulator.com site
   * On the **Usage** section, click '**Delete data'** to remove all cookies for the site

**Chrome (iPad, iPhone)**

To do a hard refresh and clear cookies on Google Chrome on iPad, follow the below steps:

1. Go to the site you want to hard refresh
2. Tap the **three dots** menu on the top-right
3. Tap **Settings** > **Privacy and Security** > **Delete browsing data**
4. Select Time Range as **All time**
5. Tap **Browsing data**
6. Select **Browsing history** and **Cached images and files** (you may select more if needed, if you want to clear cookies, select **Cookies** as well)
7. Tap **Confirm**
8. Tap **Delete data**

### For Firefox

**Firefox (Windows)**

To hard refresh Firefox on Windows, there are also two easy hotkey commands you can use:

1. Hold down Ctrl, Shift, and the ‘**R**’ key.
2. Hold down Ctrl and press **F5**.
3. Clear the cookies as well by following the below steps:
   * Click the **three horizontal lines** in the top-right corner
   * Select **Settings** (or **Options**)
   * In the left sidebar, click **Privacy & Security**
   * Scroll to **Cookies and Site Data**
   * Click **Manage Data...**
   * In the search box, type the name of the site whose cookies and cache you want to clear
   * Select the site from the list
   * Click **Remove Selected**
   * Click **Save Changes**
   * Confirm by clicking **Clear Now** in the prompt

**Firefox (Mac)**

To hard refresh Firefox on Mac, there are also two easy vital combinations that you can use:

1. Hold down Command, Shift, and the ‘**R**’ key.
2. Hold down Shift and press the reload button.
3. Clear the cookies as well by following the below steps:
   * Click **Firefox** in the top menu bar (next to the Apple logo), then select **Preferences**
   * In the left sidebar, go to **Privacy & Security**
   * Scroll down to **Cookies and Site Data**
   * Click **Manage Data...**
   * In the popup, search for the website name
   * Select the site(s) you want
   * Click **Remove Selected**, then **Save Changes**
   * Click **Clear Now** again to confirm

### For Safari

**Safari (Mac)**

The steps are to clear the cache and reload the browser.

1. Hold down the option and command key then press the ‘**E**’ key to clear the cache.
2. Then reload the page using the steps below
   * Click the Reload icon.
   * or Hold down Command and the  ‘**R**’ key.
3. Clear the cookies as well by following the below steps
   * Open Safari Settings: Click on the Safari icon in your top Dock and select '**Settings**.'
   * Go to the **Privacy** Tab: Click on the '**Privacy'** tab.&#x20;
   * Manage Website Data: Click on the '**Manage Website Data'** button.&#x20;
   * Search or Filter: Use the search bar or filters to find animaldietformulator.com websites.&#x20;
   * Remove Data: Select the website to clear data and click the '**Remove**' button.

**Safari (iPad, iPhone)**

To do a hard refresh and clear cookies on Safari on iPad, follow the below steps:

1. Open **Settings** on your device
2. Go to **Apps** > **Safari** > **Advanced** > **Website Data**
3. Find the website and swipe left to **Delete** or tap **Edit** > remove it

**Microsoft Edge (Windows)**

To hard refresh Edge on Windows, you can do either of these shortcut keys:

1. Hold down Ctrl key and press **F5**
2. Hold down Shift key and press **F5**
3. Hold down Ctrl and Shift key and press '**R**'
4. Clear the cookies as well by following the below steps:
   * Click the **three dots** in the top-right corner
   * Go to **Settings**
   * Click **Cookies and site permissions** on the sidebar
   * Click **Manage cookies**
   * Use the search bar to find the specific site
   * Click the **trash can icon** next to it to delete its cookies and data

**Microsoft Edge (Mac)**

To hard refresh Edge on Windows, you can do either of these shortcut keys:

1. Hold down Command key, and Shift key, and press '**R**'
2. Hold down Shift key and press **F5**
3. Hold down Shift key and click the **Reload button** in the browser toolbar
4. Clear the cookies as well by following the below steps:
   * Click the **three dots** in the top-right corener
   * Go to **Settings**
   * Click **Cookies and site permissions** on the sidebar
   * Click **Manage cookies**
   * Use the search bar to find the specific site
   * Click the **trash can icon** next to it to delete its cookies and data

### For Internet Explorer

**Internet Explorer:**

To hard refresh IE, there is one simple way to do it:

1. Hold the Control key, and press the **F5** key.
2. Or, hold the Control key, and click the Refresh button.
3. Clear the cookies as well by following the below steps:
   * Click the **gear icon** on the top right corner, or press Alt and **X**
   * Select **Internet Options**
   * Under the **General** tab, in the **Browsing history** section, click **Delete...**
   * In the **Delete Browsing History** window, check **Cookies and website data** (you can uncheck others if you want to keep things like saved passwords)
   * Click **Delete**
   * Click **OK** to close the Internet Options window
